Hello Arrowhead Nordic Community,
Welcome to our new members! We hope everyone is staying warm! The recent stretch of colder weather brought several inches of snow on Thursday and Friday—great news for our trails. Our volunteer grooming team (a big thank-you to Jonah, Micah, and Mike!) has been hard at work packing and grooming to improve conditions.
Below you’ll find current trail updates. A trail map is attached and is subject to change as conditions evolve. We are hopeful that some trail signs will be installed next week; in the meantime, blue poles and Nordic trail signs will help guide your way.
Trail Conditions Update
Base Area Trails
(Giggle Woods, Practice Flats, and Pony Up Hill)
These trails remain thin in places but are generally in good shape. Groomed Saturday afternoon.
Westside Trails
(Big Blue Loop, Hippy Trees, Sherwood Forest, and Mountain View Meadow)
These areas are also thin in spots, with exposed dirt, sticks, and rocks in wooded sections, and sage and shrubs in the meadows. Groomed Saturday afternoon.
Trail Access & Season Pass Information
We’ve received several inquiries about season passes—thank you to everyone eager to support Arrowhead Nordic this season! Below are our current trail access fees and pass options:
Daily Trail Access Fee: $20
Season Passes
- Individual Season Pass: $100
- Family Season Pass: $150
Arrowhead Community residents are eligible for discounted rates:
- Individual Season Pass: $80
- Family Season Pass: $120
Your trail fees and donations directly support grooming, trail maintenance, and continued access to Nordic recreation in the Cimarron Mountains.
Payment Options
Payments, donations, and fees may be placed in the “Trail Access Fee” box located at the new trailhead. Please include your name with season pass payments.

We are currently coordinating with Arrowhead Mountain Lodge to establish an additional drop-off location and are exploring expanded online payment options. Thank you for your patience as we continue to get systems in place.
