Welcome to our newest subscribers — and to this very spring-forward weather. We’ll admit, we were a little nervous heading out to check the trails… but they’re hanging in there! Expect some thin spots and true spring conditions: icy mornings, softer and slushier afternoons, with the sweet spot for skiing between 11:00am–2:00pm.
Mother Nature, if you’re listening… please chill out….literally.
Here are some photos to gauge the conditions. You can also visit the Trailhead Webcam https://www.arrowheadmtlodge.com/webcam

Classic tracks were set earlier this week and refreshed in select areas this weekend where possible. With high temps in the 40s, they may not last long — so catch them while you can!

Snowfall Update
According to the official Arrowhead Improvement Association (AIA) report, we received just 17 inches of snow in February. The good news? March is historically our snowiest month up on the Alpine. We are crossing our fingers, toes, and whatever else we can that winter isn’t done with us yet!
Blood Full Moon Bonus
As if spring skiing wasn’t dramatic enough, we also have a Blood Full Moon lighting up the mountain skies on March 3. During a total lunar eclipse, the moon takes on a reddish glow — and if skies cooperate, it should be a beautiful sight up here on the Alpine. Whether you’re an early riser or staying up late to catch it, it’s a good reminder that even in a quirky winter, nature still knows how to put on a show.
