Lots of Snow, Open Trails & Snow Moon Vibes

Hello Arrowhead Nordic Community,

Welcome to our new subscribers! We loved seeing so many of you out on the trails this past weekend after nearly  20 inches  of fresh snow landed from the recent storm. Our groomers were able to get a solid pass in on Monday, with plans for another pass either Friday or Saturday—schedules permitting.

Trail Updates

We’re excited to announce that the Meadowlark & Hullabaloop Loops are OPEN with room for both skate and classic tracks.

It’s not a fancy entrance, but one step at a time! We’ll have additional trails opening after our next groom!

Snowshoers  are welcome on all Arrowhead Nordic trails! Please stay to the side of the trail and out of the classic tracks. Packing of the dedicated snowshoe-only trails are on the docket now that the snow has arrived! We’re planning to have over 10 km of snowshoe trails winding through the woods;  It’s going to be magical

Base Area & Westside Trails have all been groomed, and Big Blue Loop again has double classic tracks! We’ve added a few more trail signs and “you are here” maps to help with navigation. Cell service is very limited, so we strongly recommend saving a photo of the trail map to your phone before heading out.

Dog Policy Reminder

Dogs are not allowed on the Blue Mountain Arrowhead Trails, but they are welcome on the Base Area/Westside Trails. The lodge also offers pet-friendly rooms if you’d like to extend your stay.

Please help keep trails clean by burying treasures in deeper snow or using the waste bags provided at the trailhead. Thank you for your help!

 Snow Moon Weekend

Rightfully named, the next full moon, the Snow Moon, peaks on Sunday, February 1 at 3:09 PM MT. We don’t have any formal activities planned, but the forecast looks clear, and we’re hoping the Snow Moon lives up to its name and brings even more snow our way in February!

Happy Skiing!
